In two weeks time I will be stating a one month residency at the Baer Art Center in Hofsos, Iceland. I very excited to spend time in a country I have always wanted to visit, have dedicated time for examining new thoughts and ideas, exploring the landscape and spending time with four other artists. These images are from the recent Manningham Victorian Ceramic Art Award 2015. A fantastically diverse and excellent exhibition. Congratulations to the award winners - Dean Smith, Kate Jones, Prue Venables, Sue Robey and Irianna Kanellopoulou.
I am very honoured to have a work selected for the inaugural Victorian Craft Award, presented by Craft Victoria, held across four locations - Craft, fortyfivedownstairs, Sofitel on Collins, 1 Spring Street. It promises to be a BIG event!

These two works exhibited in SAM's (Shepparton Art Museum) Showcase in 2014 have been acquired by the Bendigo Art Gallery. Bendigo Art Gallery has a significant collection of contemporary Australian Ceramics, primarily made possible my the generosity of Rod Fyffe and his passion for ceramics. I am very pleased that these two works will be in this collection, as they are two of the first works I had made and exhibited which include glass additions, an area I have been exploring in my work recently. This work and its development was assisted by a 2013 New Work Grant by the Australia Council for the Arts.
