Very excited to have a work of mine selected for the Manningham Victorian Ceramic Art Award 2015 Finalists Exhibition, and to be exhibiting in the beautiful space of the Manningham Art Gallery.

These two works exhibited in SAM's (Shepparton Art Museum) Showcase in 2014 have been acquired by the Bendigo Art Gallery. Bendigo Art Gallery has a significant collection of contemporary Australian Ceramics, primarily made possible my the generosity of Rod Fyffe and his passion for ceramics. I am very pleased that these two works will be in this collection, as they are two of the first works I had made and exhibited which include glass additions, an area I have been exploring in my work recently. This work and its development was assisted by a 2013 New Work Grant by the Australia Council for the Arts.

Very excited to share the news that this work, Untitled 2014, was awarded the Lump Sculpture Studio Award at the Toorak Village Sculpture Exhibition on Friday 1 May. The exhibition was judged by David Hurlston, Senior Curator Australian Art, NGV. The exhibition runs until 14 June, with 100 sculptures displayed in the shop fronts and on the pavements of Toorak Village.

Skepsi Gallery's Exhibition, INTERPLAY aesthetic charm, material challenge, continues until 10 May 2015. I am very honoured to be a part of this high calibre exhibition!

Banyule City Council has put together an online artist database of local artists - PINPOINT. Launched in November, this is a great resource for those looking to collect artists' work, find a particular artist for a project or event, or for collaborative opportunities. From a personal perspective it's been exciting to discover artists that literally 'live down the road.' Thanks to Caitlin Armstrong and the Banyule City Council team for putting this together and supporting local artists.
I recently had a collection of my work photographed by Christopher Sanders. Chris was one of my lecturers at RMIT University and an amazing ceramic artist. His considerable talents have now turned to photography. I wanted to try something new with my images, capturing the underside qualities of the works. These are the results - thank you Chris!
